국내 최초로 부정맥 로봇 시술 시행
국내 최초로 부정맥 로봇 시술을 시행한 의사다. 주요 진료 분야는 부정맥, 심방세동, 고주파 도자결제술이다.
사용되는 로봇은 자석을 이용한 네비게이션 기기를 활용해 부정맥 발생 위치를 정확하게 진단하고 치료한다. 정확도가 높아 부작용이 적고 방사선 피폭도 최소화할 수 있다. 2001년부터 1000명 이상의 심방세동 시술을 시행해 70~80%의 정맥유지율을 보이고 있다. '뇌졸중예방중재술연구회' 초대 회장이다.
